• Power down the computer.
  • Wait 10 seconds.
  • Power the machine back on.
  • At the Dell logo, hit the F12 key numerous times.
  • Choose Troubleshoot

  • Choose Advanced options

  • Choose Command prompt

  • Choose Command prompt (with networking) if available
  • At the command prompt type cd c:\windows\system32\drivers\CrowdStrike
  • At the command prompt type dir
  • Locate the file “C-00000291*.sys” with a time stamp of 0409. There may be multiple “C-00000291*.sys” files. Note the ending two numbers of that file. In the example, even though the time stamp is incorrect, the ending two numbers are 30.

  • At the command prompt type del C-00000291*30.sys (replacing 30 with your numbers).
  • At the command prompt type shutdown /r
