- Power down the computer.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Power the machine back on.
- At the Dell logo, hit the F12 key numerous times.
- Choose Troubleshoot
- Choose Advanced options
- Choose Command prompt
- Choose Command prompt (with networking) if available
- At the command prompt type cd c:\windows\system32\drivers\CrowdStrike
- At the command prompt type dir
- Locate the file “C-00000291*.sys” with a time stamp of 0409. There may be multiple “C-00000291*.sys” files. Note the ending two numbers of that file. In the example, even though the time stamp is incorrect, the ending two numbers are 30.
- At the command prompt type del C-00000291*30.sys (replacing 30 with your numbers).
- At the command prompt type shutdown /r
