The answer is 'probably'. The Town does keep laptops on hand as loaners. While we don't guarantee availability, we do endeavor to have them available for use by staff. If you're going out of Town for a conference or other Town business we can get you setup with a device to remote into Town Hall should you need to. We recommend planning ahead for this as sometimes all our laptops are checked out and in use. Please put in a ticket with the dates you'll need the laptop. We usually will have you come into the office to log into the device, setup your profile and make sure everything works for you. You'll need a vpn and we'll set that up for you as well. We'll also test it and make sure you're functional and ready to go.
If you need a laptop to be permanently assigned to you we require a manager or department director to request one for you. Please have them place a ticket in our system on your behalf.
