All of our multi-function machines (known colloquially as 'copiers' or 'printers') have a function known as Secure Print. This allows the user to input a code and have the print job held until the user inputs the code at the multi-function machine. Most of our multi-function machines are made by Xerox. To access this function print your document and select Preferences on the print dialog box.
When the Printing Preferences dialog box comes up select Secure Print... from the Job Type drop-down list
The printer will ask you for a four to ten digit passcode. Enter this (it can be any number you choose) and select OK.
The machine will hold your job until you input the code. To print your document stand at the multi-function machine and select Job Status (if the machine is in Energy Saver mode you will need to press that button to 'wake it up'). On the touchscreen select Secure Jobs. Your user name along with your print job should be displayed. Select your job and choose Release. The machine will ask you for your passcode. When you enter it correctly your job will print. This allows you to be present and keep your document confidential. The machine will hold onto your secure print job indefinitely or until it is power-cycled.
